Responsibilities:
As a Logistics Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of leading and organizing the logistics workforce. From mentoring and evaluating performance to setting department goals and enforcing company standards—you’ll be the engine keeping operations on track.
- Guide and manage team members—conducting training, organizing schedules, evaluating performance, and handling disciplinary matters in line with corporate guidelines.
- Take charge of the day-to-day logistics and supply chain functions, ensuring seamless operations from start to finish.
- Craft, apply, and oversee strategic plans to make the supply chain more efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with safety and quality regulations.
- Review inventory systems and forecast models to maintain optimal stock levels that support sales, service, aftermarket, and distribution channels.
- Ensure inventory records are detailed, precise, and consistent across all business units to meet operational needs.
- Identify areas to enhance productivity and profitability within the supply chain.
- Track and measure performance using key logistics indicators.
- Oversee all transport operations—managing imports, exports, shipping processes, and warehouse movements.
- Assess warehouse needs and recommend improvements in space utilization, staffing, and equipment to improve throughput.
- Analyze and streamline transport routes and consider consolidation options to improve delivery and reduce costs.
- Handle negotiations for freight, supplier rates, and logistics terms.
- Work closely with internal departments and external partners to maintain alignment and visibility across the supply chain.
- Support the Sales Development team by offering guidance on shipping availability, transportation expenses, tariff classification, and Incoterms.
- Evaluate vendor performance and initiate supplier qualification when required.
- Ensure strict compliance with international trade laws, certifications, and in-house logistics procedures.
- Supervise logistics for regional offices, service deals, and consignment inventory.
- Play a key role in company-wide management discussions and planning efforts.
- Oversee the rollout of Atlas Copco’s logistics frameworks and systems.
- Assist distributors with the proper documentation for shipping and customs clearance.
- Drive the adoption of centralized ordering systems, including unified platforms for distributor use.
- Maintain and manage intelligent stock systems for real-time monitoring and control.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualification:
- A university degree or its educational equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—clear, confident, and collaborative.
- Sharp attention to detail while maintaining an eye on the bigger operational vision.
